Research

I am investigating mechanisms that cause heterogeneities in transmission. These heterogeneities appear to result in key hosts that:

Harbor a majority of parasites
Account for a majority of transmission

My research focuses on identifying differences between individuals that create key hosts, including:

Exposure due to behavior
Exposure due to body size
Susceptibility due to immune function

Study systems
